Welcome to the tearfund Drumlanrig challenge

 Saturday 5th May 2012

The event is provisionally full,we are still taking applications for the waiting list at drumlanrigchallenge@gmail.com

Those who registered in time should return entry forms by February 1st to confirm you place. Note we will only accept entries from those names on the list, you cannot pass on a copy of the form to friends who did not register.

The Tearfund  Drumlanrig challenge is organised and supported by members of churches from Dumfries and Nithsdale. Their aim is to provide participants with a memorable and enjoyable cycling challenge in the glorious scenery and traffic free roads around Drumlanrig Castle, and at the same time raise funds for Tearfund, a Christian charity dedicated to bringing relief, hope and a future to some of the worlds poorest communities and to those suffering from natural and man-made disasters.
Participants have the choice of a 100 miles, a 62 miles or a 40 miles cycling challenge. Whatever route you choose you have the added challenge of tackling the copious supplies of sandwiches and home baking provided by the church members at the feed stations. With this event having the unique feature of not timing  the lunch break, you can sample as much of the food on offer as you like without it impacting on your time.

What if I have entered and now cannot come :- If you have already sent in your form and donation, we will not be able to return your donation, but if you let us know before the day we will give you a guaranteed entry for 2013. Do please let us know as we have people desperately waiting for a place.

For 2012 watch out for more Tearfund cycling events,  Fort William and Aberdeen events are in the melting pot .   See www.tearfundcycling.btck.co.uk
